RODEO PAY-OUT
All Rough Stock is pre-paid. You are always welcome to walk-up and try to pay at the Rodeo, but there may not be livestock available at that time. We only draw livestock and hold positions for contestants who are paid.
BULL RIDING FAQs
What if I want to try Bull Riding? Can I do this at the Stockyards Rodeo? Unfortunately, the Stockyards Rodeo is NOT the place to try-out your first Bull Riding experience. Although we always encourage everyone to try and compete in the sport of Rodeo, the livestock at the Stockyards Rodeo is definitely NOT for beginners (since most of our livestock also competes at Professional Rodeo Events.) Search 'Rodeo Schools' or 'Rodeo Associations' for more information on how to become a Bull Rider... And after you have a full year of riding experience under your cowboy belt, come back and see us!!
What if I want to enter the Stockyards Rodeo several weeks in advance? The Stockyards Rodeo entries do not open until the Sunday before each rodeo, and we encourage contestants to wait until you are absolutely sure you can enter before you pay your entry fees. Because of our high contestant volume, we do not refund entry fees after they have been paid, so wait until you are ABSOLUTELY sure you can make it! We can't wait to see you here!
