The Stockyards Rodeo is an OPEN RODEO.

Contestants can enter through the Nextgen Rodeo App by clicking the link below or by texting the Rodeo Secretary,
Cindy Reid at 254-371-7343.

The Nextgen Rodeo App allows you to REQUEST a preference, prepay, and leisurely arrive at the rodeo without standing in line to pay. Nextgen will also send you notifications when your position has been drawn, when livestock has been drawn, or results have been posted!

(We never refund or 'roll' money for contestant entry fees,
so NEVER pre-pay unless you are sure you can be here!)
Rough Stock Contestants must be 18 or over and have at least one year of riding experience.
(Any contestant under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present when checking in and while riding.)

Pre-Entries are open EVERY Sunday thru Wednesday.
Late Entries begin every Thursday and stay open until the event is full or until 30 minutes before the Rodeo starts. Late entries should ALWAYS check-in with the Rodeo Secretary (Text 254-371-7343) for a pay link or entry confirmation before walking-up (sometimes events are limited depending on dates, times, etc.)

ENTRY FAQs
Can I pay my entry fee in cash when I get there? Absolutely! We almost always take walk-up entries, but please remember we do not take preferences, hold positions, or hold livestock for contestants until they are paid. When you pay at the rodeo, you will fill the positions that we have left, and on very busy weekends, the entries may be limited...so always text us before coming to check availability! Also, if you are walking up with cash, BE EARLY! We are open from 5:30-7pm (and 11:30-1pm for matinee performances).
What if I can ONLY go in the Performance? Can I draw out my entry if I request Performance but draw up in the Slack? Unfortunately, No... You can always Turn-Out, but we do not refund or 'roll' entry fees. So please make sure you can go in either the Performance or the Slack for the rodeo you enter. We are so excited to see you here!
When is the Slack? The Slack begins almost immediately 2 hours after the Rodeo Performance begins. Our Matinee Performances begin at 1:30pm, so our slack usually starts between 3:15-3:30pm. Our Nighttime Performances begin at 7:30pm, so the slack usually starts at 9:30pm.
